1. Soft Fruits
Fruits such as bananas, soft berries, or even smashed apples can make a great snack for any baby. These fruits are flavorful, easy to make, and similar to many commercial baby foods sold by franchises. Making them yourself can not only be much cheaper and spontaneous than baby food, but more fresh, healthy, and without the preservatives or coloring that are added to many commercial products. Gathering small amounts of these fruits, mashing them with a spoon and maybe adding some sugar, makes a great snack for babies and they can even be stored in small containers and served on the go!
2. Dry Cereal
Cereal is a versatile and mobile snack for small babies. It does not need to be kept chilled, and requires no preparation, so it’s great for family vacations or long road trips in which elaborate baby food can’t be prepared. It is best to shy away from the chocolaty and sugary cereals though, as these are not only unhealthy, they can cause an upset stomach if too much is eaten. Something as simple as whole grain cheerios is cheap, simple, and easy, and probably the most mobile baby food, as it does not require any special storage or cooling.
3. Tofu Cubes
Tofu is an unorthodox snack for babies, but it shouldn’t be, because it is very delicious and healthy! Tofu has a very soft and creamy texture when served cold, and is perfect for babies who are not quite ready for solid food. Tofu is also loaded with nutritional benefits, such as lean protein and vitamins. Babies enjoy tofu cold and uncooked, so it is very easy to prepare and serve.
4. Yogurt
Yogurt is a healthy, yet delicious & fun option for babies, especially those who are picky. Yogurt is milk-based, so it’s very familiar to babies, and they’re likely to enjoy it. It can be high in fat though, so it is critical to not rely on this as a meal, but rather, a fun snack for picky babies. Yogurt is supplemented well by fresh fruit, which also makes it even healthier.
5. Diced Veggies
Veggies are one of the most healthy snacks for babies. However, they are often not their favorite. Soft raw veggies diced into small pieces are good in small numbers and contain ridiculous amounts of nutrition that is great for growing children of any age. If your baby is not particularly enjoying this option, mixing some diced veggies in with some fruit can make a large difference – it might sound weird to you, but it won’t be to your baby!
6. Cheese
Anything milk-based is typically a favorite among infants, and cheese is no exception. It contains good amounts of protein and vitamin C, which are great for babies, but only in small numbers. Not only is it high in fat, it has the potential to upset the stomach of children if ingested in large amounts. Remember, cheese is an excellent snack for babies, but a terrible meal!

7. Commercial Baby Food
Cheap bottled store bought baby
food is not ideal, but it is popular for a reason. Babies typically
enjoy this food and it has very reasonable nutritional values. However,
if you have the time, make your baby something special!
